Portfolio
I have contributed to the following web sites in a number of different ways, from initial design and development to continuing maintenance and redesign. Throughout this work, I have become proficient in a variety of different tools, including HomeSite, WebDesign (Mac OSX), Zope, Bricolage, FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat Professional. Please refer to my CV for details on this professional experience and more.
Not-for-Profit Webmaster Round Table (September 2009)
I recently redesigned the logo and web site for the Not-for-Profit Webmaster Round Table. Primary development tool used: WebDesign.
Rainforest Alliance (2008–present)
I am doing front-end web development and design for the Rainforest Alliance's main and satellite web sites. Recent projects include the design of AJAX-based interactive stories and slide shows. Primary development tools used: Dreamweaver and ColdFusion.
World Health Organization (2003–2005 full-time, 2008–2009 freelance)
I developed and maintained several high-profile sections of the World Health Organization's web site, including the home page, Media Centre, and World Health Days 2004 & 2005 (in English, French and Spanish), as well as Injuries and Violence Prevention and the Tobacco Free Initiative. Primary development tool used: Bricolage CMS.
Michael Joseph (2007–present)
I recently launched jeweler Michael Joseph's web site. I developed this site from scratch, from the photography and layout to the table-free, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS. The image to the left links to the live site.
Michael Fields Agricultural Institute (2006–2008)
I redesigned both the graphics and information architecture of this site in early 2006, adding a number of interactive components, including e-commerce, online donation and event calendar/registration. I also designed and continue to implement MFAI's bi-monthly HTML newsletter. The image to the left links to the current live site. The design uses table-free, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS. Primary development tools used: HomeSite and WebDesign (Mac OSX).
TheoryAndPractice.org (2002–present)
This is my personal web site and testing ground for new designs and techniques. I hope to make a number of different table-free CSS designs available for viewing soon. The design uses table-free, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS. Primary development tool used: Zope CMS.
University of Wisconsin - Food Safety and Health (2002)
I developed the Wisconsin Food Safety and Health web site from the ground up in 2002. The site has since been fully redesigned (as seen in the screenshot), however much of the original content that I produced remains. Primary development tool used: Dreamweaver.
